As Delhi battles a health emergency over shocking levels of air pollution, skipper of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli posted a video to Instagram to get square with his city residents about pollution.

In the video, captioned “Delhi, we need to talk!”, Kohli urged Delhiites to help the situation by doing their bit.

Kohli suggested people use public transport more or carpool to help salvage the situation.

A thick layer of smog has engulfed the capital the past few weeks. Schools were ordered to shut down and the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has urged the Punjab and Haryana government to help find a permanent solution.
