A candid moment captured and preserved in the form of a photograph is making Twinkle Khanna’s eyes moist. She tweeted out an image of her father, Rajesh Khanna from the filming of the Hrishikesh Mukherjee directorial, Anand.
"A friend found this from the archives and is now making a print for me- some gifts are priceless," wrote Twinkle as she posted the picture.
Beneath this light moment is the poignant theme of the film. Rajesh Khanna played the titular role in Anand - a cancer patient, who lives life to the fullest.
The picture is a stolen moment from the shoot of the song, Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli from Anand that went on to be a cult classic. The drama, co-written and directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee had dialogues penned by Gulzar. The film won several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Film in 1972.
The erstwhile actor, and now producer and author is often seen sharing nostalgic images of her late father, with whom she shares her birthday.
