Television actor Tejasswi Prakash’s WhatsApp account has been hacked, and she said that the perpetrator has been using her account to make obscene video calls.
“The person who hacked my phone is chatting with my contacts in a friendly tone and sharing a link, asking them to send the code that they receive. As soon as they send him the code on WhatsApp, he made video calls. Once they answered the call they could see a man performing an obnoxious act,” Tejasswi told Spotboye.
The actor said that she herself got a call and was subject to the disgusting sight. “On Sunday, I was busy shooting in Mira Road. Suddenly, I got a video call on the sets, where I was surrounded by a number of people. As soon as I answered the call, I saw a nude man on it. I was horrified,” she said.
Tejasswi added that many of her friends and colleagues from the industry too have received such calls. “I got a call from Karishma Tanna, Tanya Sharma and other actors. They were also shocked. It is very embarrassing. Since my friends know me they called up to clarify about the incident, but what about those who are just work associates? I can’t imagine what their impression about me would be,” Tejasswi told Spotboye.
She said that she has registered a complaint with the cyber crime cell: “I called up the cyber crime cell and they asked me to register a complaint at the Goregaon police station where I live. Since I was shooting till the wee hours of the morning, I couldn’t file the complaint. However, I will do it very soon,” Tejasswi added.
Apart from Tejasswi, her Karn Sangini co-star Aashim Gulati’s WhatsApp account has also been hacked.
