Pics: Sonali Bendre Returns to India for a “Happy Interval”

The actor has been undergoing treatment for cancer in New York.

After an extended stay in New York where she has been undergoing treatment for cancer, Sonali Bendre has returned to India. She was spotted at the Mumbai airport with husband Goldie Behl.

She also announced her return on social media.

They say "Distance makes the heart grow fonder". It sure does. But let's never underestimate what distance teaches you. Being away from home in the city of New York, I realized I was walking amongst so many stories. Each trying to write their own chapter in different ways. Each struggling to do it but never giving up. She says in the emotional post that her “fight" is not over yet but looks forward to this "happy interval". She said,

It’s a feeling I can’t describe in words but I’m going to try - it’s a joy to see my family and friends again, the excitement to do what I love and mainly the gratitude for the journey I’ve had up until this moment. Sonali has put up a brave front over the last few months, sending positive messages to her followers and documenting her journey battling cancer with candour. The actor has been updating fans about the progress of her treatment and even spoke about trying on new looks with wigs after losing her hair.
