After his infamous Twitter meltdown and his ouster from his big ticket shows, Kapil Sharma, controversy’s favourite child has been called out by former star and current Member of Parliament, Shatrughan Sinha, for taking it too far while mimicking him on his TV show. “I am sporting enough to take it on the chin,” Shatrughan said, as per a a report in India Today. He said that legends are always impersonated and went on to give examples of Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle and Amitabh Bachchan. Mimicry is flattery as long as it does not cross the limits of decency. He added that his daughter Sonakshi had to reprimand him when Sharma crossed the line while making fun of Shatrughan Sinha on his TV show. “The mimic should not forget that he is paying a homage to a man or a woman he or she admires,” he added. He also said that mimicry should be confined to the stage and not extended outside of it, especially not to the Parliament.”
