Indian Idol host Maniesh Paul returns to reality television as the glitzy anchor of season 9 of dance show Nach Baliye. Having been introduced by the show’s producer Salman Khan, the actor made a grand aerial entry during the season premiere of the show and also performed to ‘Machayenge’.

Nach Baliye 9 not only features celebrity couples but also a few ex flames. The season premiere, which aired on 19 July, featured some fiery performances by celebs such as Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai's Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan, who danced to 'Ishque Di Chashni' and Dance Plus judges Punit Pathak and Shakti Mohan, who performed to the title track from Kalank. By the end of the night, five celebrity jodis were revealed: Shraddha Arya and Alam Singh, Babita Phogat and Vivek Suhag, Vindu Dara Singh and Dina Omarova, Urvashi Dholakia and Anuj Sachdeva, and Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary.
