My Legitimacy Comes From My Work: Masaba Lashes out at Trolls
Sonam Kapoor, Chetan Bhagat and others tweet their support for the designer.
No matter what celebrities say these days, they get trolled. The latest in line is Masaba Gupta, whose retweet supporting the cracker ban drew unhealthy ire. The designer has been called a “bastard” and “illegitimate”, among other things.
Not to be cowed down, the spunky Masaba sent out a hard-hitting message to her trolls on social media. She lashed out saying she was proud to be an Indo-Caribbean girl and the child of “two of the most LEGITIMATE personalities”.
She also said that she’s immune to words like “bastard” and “illegitimate” because she has been hearing them since she was 10, and her legitimacy comes from the work she does and what she contributes to the society.
Check out her post here:
And guess how she is reacting to the sanghis?
Masaba is the daughter of legendary cricketer Sir Viv Richards and actor Neena Gupta.
Several well-known personalities showed their support for Masaba on Twitter.
