Kriti Sanon Defends 'Kalank's' 'Aira Gaira' Song, Says There Is Nothing Vulgar in It

Kriti Sanon’s has recently featured in one of Kalank’s songs, Aira Gaira, with Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur. The peppy dance number has been topping the charts ever since. As we all know, Bollywood is infamous for objectifying women in item songs. However, Kriti Sanon lauds director Abhishek Varman for not making the song seem ‘vulgar.’ “One should only view it as a dance song that has been aesthetically shot. There is nothing vulgar in the approach and you have to credit Abhishek Varman for that,” the actor said.

As for the comparison between her and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from Kajra Re, she says that “Ash is inimitable.”

Parineeti Chopra Lends Her Voice to 'Kesari' Song 'Teri Mitti'

Parineeti Chopra has an enchanting voice and we all loved the track Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin from Meri Pyaari Bindu. Now, the actor has lent her voice to the female version of the Kesari song Teri Mitti.

Parineeti Chopra took to Instagram to share her feelings. “ I think the crux of who I am is my love for singing. NOTHING in the world centres me more, focuses me and makes me happy, than just plain singing. I sing all day. And when I am not singing out loud, I am humming in my head. It is my first love. My mom tells me I used to sing the ABC song when I was a year old! Anyway, you get it  Anyone who has heard me sing, has a piece of my soul  my version of #TeriMitti. Thankyou Karan, Akshay sir, Anurag sir, Azeem, Arko, Aditya and Arko for letting me do this,” she wrote.

New ‘Bharat’ Poster Shows a Younger Version of Salman’s Character

On Monday, Salman Khan shared his first look from Bharat. In that, we saw him as an old man with a moustache and heavy glasses. Now, the actor has shared another photo of his from the film, wherein he plays his younger self. Sporting cool shades and an embellished shirt, Salman wrote, “ Jawaani humari Jaaneman thi!”

Not just Salman Khan, we can also see Disha Patani in the background, flying high in right corner of the poster, bringing the old world charm of the '60s.

‘India’s Most Wanted’ Teaser: Arjun Kapoor Is on a Deadly Hunt

Arjun Kapoor is gearing up for his next film, a thriller titled India’s Most Wanted. The teaser of the film is out and it looks quite gripping. The actor plays Prabhat in the film, who volunteers to catch the most dreaded terrorist, referred in the video as India’s Osama, without the use of firearms. His team also comprises of ordinary people. They are referred to as ‘unlikely heroes’ in the teaser.

Vicky Kaushal to Play Ashwatthama in ‘Uri’ Director’s Next Film

Earlier this year, Vicky Kaushal impressed us with his performance in Uri: The Surgical Strike. The hugely successful film also marked Aditya Dhar’s directorial debut and he was highly praised for his efforts. The film was produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

Now, the trio are set to return with a period-war film that revolves around the mythological character Ashwatthama, Mumbai Mirror reported. Vicky Kaushal will essay the titular role in the yet untitled film. The actor even shared the news on Instagram.

GoT Season 8 Premiere Draws 17.4 Million Viewers in US

Game Of Thrones season eight premiered to record numbers in the US, HBO has announced.

According to figures released by HBO, the season eight premiere drew 17.4 million viewers across all platforms (linear, HBOGO and HBO NOW), including 11.8 million who watched on the linear channel, reports variety.com.

The number of viewers are expected to go up considerably once delayed viewing is factored into the final numbers.

The season seven premiere, by comparison, averaged 16.1 million total viewers, including 10.1 million who watched on the linear channel and the rest coming from DVR and streaming.

That also beats the previous series high of 16.9 million multi-platform viewers for the season seven finale. However, the season seven finale drew 12.1 million linear viewers, meaning this season's premiere was down slightly in that measure.

The last season premiered internationally on April 14. It will air in India on Star World on April 16.

In addition, HBO NOW saw a jump of approximately 50 per cent in viewing when compared to last season's finale and a 97 per cent increase when compared to the seventh season premiere. It also accounts for largest night of streaming activity ever for HBO.

The season eight premiere was also the most-tweeted episode in series history with more than five million tweets on Sunday alone.

Suriya to Star in Guneet Monga's Maiden Tamil Venture

South superstar Suriya will be toplining Guneet Monga's maiden Tamil production, the producer announced Tuesday.

The film, titled Soorarai Pottru, will be directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Monga's Sikhya Entertainment in collaboration with Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian and Aalif Surti.

Monga's 2018 production Period. End of Sentence, recently bagged the Best Documentary Short Subject award at the 91st Academy Awards.

She has also produced Bollywood films such as Masaan, The Lunchbox, Shahid and Haraamkhor, among others.

Actors Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra just wrapped up the shoot for upcoming comedy film Jabadiya Jodi. Siddharth posted a tweet saying “ The crazy journey of #JabariyaJodi comes to an end!
