Kangana Ranaut has taken off to the US for a look test of her upcoming film Thalaivi. She will be undergoing various look tests with Hollywood expert Jason Collins, who has worked on Hollywood films like Captain Marvel, Blade Runner and more . Kangana will be essaying the role of Jayalalithaa in the film.
She was clicked at the airport leaving for Los Angeles. Kangana Ranaut sported geeky spectacles and wore a smart jacket and high heels.
Recently, rumours about the biopic of Jayalalithaa were doing the rounds. According to reports, the film has been struggling to acquire sufficient funds before it goes on floors in November. However, the same was rubbished by Vishu, the producer of Thalaivi. Vishu spoke to Times of India and confirmed that the preparation for the filming of Thalaivi is going exactly as it should.
Vishu also told the media company that the filming of Thalaivi will begin after Diwali. Kangana will be seen in four different looks in the film. The biopic is an ambitious one in that it will be released in 3 languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu. It will have a budget of Rs 55 crore.
The film is directed by Devi filmmaker AL Vijay. It is being written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who has also penned Baahubali and Manikarnika. It is being produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh.
