Bombay Times reports that Veere Di Wedding and Permanent Roommates’ actor Sumeet Vyas is set to marry Mere Angne Mein actor Ekta Kaul on 15 September. Earlier in April, Sumeet had spoken about his relationship to Ekta.
“I had come out of a marriage, which was a sensitive issue, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get into another relationship. Now, our families have spoken to each other as well and everyone is happy,” Sumeet had said.
Apparently, Sumeet Vyas popped the question a few days ago and it was a vehement ‘Yes’ from Ekta Kaul. But just like Sumeet’s on-screen characters’ journeys, his proposal was also riddled with a hilarious debacle of sorts - the ring size was wrong.
“Ekta is a beautiful person. I decided to pop the question a few days ago and slipped a ring on her finger before she could change her mind! I am glad she loved it and has accepted my proposal. Unfortunately, I got the size of the ring wrong, which can be expected from a guy like me,” Vyas told Bombay Times.
Ekta too was ecstatic about the development. "Marrying the man you love is a great feeling, but tying the knot with your crush is an achievement,” she said. She is all praises for her fiance. “He never loses his temper and never gives up. He is a hard-working guy and that is also one of the things that attracted me to him,” Kaul says.
Vyas adds that he and his family were overwhelmed with the gracious hospitality of her folks in Jammu.
Sumeet Vyas seems to be completely awestruck. “I have never been so poetically in love before,” says the actor. The couple is planning a warm and intimate wedding ceremony in Jammu.
