Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh has filed a counter affidavit before the Supreme Court against Rhea Chakraborty's plea to transfer the probe to Mumbai, reported news agency ANI. Earlier, KK Singh had filed the FIR against Rhea Chakroborty in Patna. The hearing for the same is scheduled for 11 August.
According to ANI, KK Singh has stated that "the investigation in the FIR has already been transferred to CBI and thus Rhea Chakraborty's plea seeking transfer of probe to Mumbai stands infructuous."
An FIR has been filed against Rhea Chakraborty under various sections, including abetment to suicide, based on a complaint by Sushant’s father KK Singh.
KK Singh has also alleged that Rs 15 crores were transferred from Sushant's account to an unknown account by Rhea. Based on these allegations, the Enforcement Directorate has filed a money laundering case and questioned Rhea and her brother Showik on 7 August. Rhea had initially requested the ED to postpone the recording of her statement till the Supreme Court hearing, said the actor's lawyer as per a report by ANI. However that was denied.
Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on 14 June. The actor was 34 years old.
