Deepika Padukone has been named as the most valued Bollywood celebrity by a New York-based finance company. Duff & Phelps released their annual Indian celebrity brand list and Deepika came in second place behind cricketer Virat Kohli. The list ranks celebrities based on their brand-value. That makes makes Deepika the B-Town celebrity with the highest brand value in 2018 with a brand worth of $102 million.

According a Times Now report, Deepika reacted to beating stars like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan on the list in her usual graceful manner.

“The past year has been extremely special for me, professionally as well as personally. While it is an honour just being a part of a list such as this, to see my name feature on the top is certainly overwhelming! It is rewarding to know that people acknowledge and value your efforts and hard work.”

Deepika’s last major release was Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat in early 2018. The actor has been a long-deserved break since the blockbuster success of that film. During this period she got married to Ranveer Singh in November and hosted multiple receptions.

Deepika will next shoot for Chhapaak, based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal. The film marks Deepika’s debut as a producer and her first time working with Raazi-director Meghna Gulzar.
