Asha Bhosle turned 86 on 8 September, and she spent it with her friends and family at her restaurant, Asha’s, in Dubai. Decked out in a pink and blue saree, the singer is seen cutting a huge cake. She took to Instagram to thank all those who organised the party. “Celebrated my birthday at my restaurant in Dubai!! Surrounded by my lovely staff, guests who came to see me and my wonderful family!! Couldn’t have brought my birthday in any better. Thank you so much for everyone who came to see me, it means a lot and thank you to everyone who organized this!!”, Asha wrote.
The sweetest birthday wish came from her sister Lata Mangeshkar. She tweeted, “Namaskar. Aaj meri choti behen Asha Bhosle ka Janamdin hai. Main usko aashirwad deti hun ki wo hamesha swasth rahe aur khush rahe.”
From Parde Mein Rehne Do (Shikar, 1968), Piya Tu Ab To Aaja (Caravan, 1971), to Mera Kuch Samaan (Ijaazat, 1987) Asha Bhosle has given Bollywood some of the most iconic songs.
