Anil Kapoor recently paid a visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Capital.
He shared the news over Twitter saying, “I had the opportunity to meet our h’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji today & I stand humbled and inspired in the wake of our conversation. His vision and his charisma are infectious & I’m grateful for the chance to have witnessed it in person.”
Speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Total Dhamaal, Anil addressed the meeting saying, "It was absolutely wonderful meeting Modiji. I wanted to meet him for the last couple of years. But it never happened. I think some meetings are destined. It was my privilege and honour to meet him. He is a very inspirational figure and I do not think I have seen an individual who is working so hard for the nation."
When asked if he thinks Modi should again be the Prime Minister of India, the veteran actor replied: "Obviously that is for all of us to see what happens in the elections. But this is not a platform where we can discuss politics."
Anil’s visit comes on the heels of the recent delegation of actors and directors that Karan Johar organised and which saw major Bollywood stars such as Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Rohit Shetty, Rajkummar Rao, Vicky Kaushal and Ayushmann Khurrana.
Anil Kapoor will be seen next in Shelly Chopra Dhar’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga alongside daughter Sonam Kapoor. The film releases on 1 February.
