Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja celebrated their first wedding anniversary on 8 May. Sonam took to Instagram to share a special video of lovely moments from the wedding scored to ‘La Vie En Rose’ while also wishing Anand. Here’s what she wrote along with the video.

Meanwhile Anand chose to share his wishes in an unusual way – with a selection of his favourite ‘shoefies’ that the couple have taken over their time together.
He wrote a note to his “guiding star” Sonam that read: “Today, to reflect on 1 year of marriage and 3 years being together – nothing could be more of a blessing than to have your life partner be your best friend and also be the person that is supportive but pushes you to be better... to be the person that is unconditionally loving but will tell you when you’re wrong ... and to be the person that will lead you into and through your fears - not allowing you to run away from them. Happy Anniversary to my @sonamkapoor .. you’re my guiding star!”
As for the odd choice of photographs to commemorate their special day, Anand explained, “The idea of looking down reminds me to stay present, grounded and most importantly grateful! I could tell you exactly where we were and what we were feeling at the time I took these...”
Sonam and Anand tied the knot at her aunt Kavita Singh’s heritage bungalow in Bandra, Mumbai in 2018. Besides close friends and relatives of the Kapoors, the wedding also saw several Bollywood stars in attendance, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Karan Johar, the Bachchans and Ranveer Singh.
