Amitabh Bachchan was discharged from Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai on Friday night, after three days. The actor was accompanied by son Abhishek and wife Jaya Bachchan as he returned home.
Bachchan posted a blog after returning home about the love of his fans that keeps him going. He shared pictures of his fans who had lined up outside his residence on his birthday and wrote, “Prayers concern and the love of them that stand by you, are elements of immense construct.”
“Do not break the code of professional documentation .. ailments and medical conditions are a confidential individual right .. its exploitation, and its attempted commerce are a social illegality. Respect and give required understanding to this, all is not in the world of sale.”Big B wrote in his blog, asking everyone to respect his privacy.
The actor also shared pictures of the time he spent with granddaughter Aaradhya on his birthday and wrote, “And then there is the embrace from the little one and nothing else matters. It sublimes itself to that which is beyond the description of my language.”
The actor was taken to the hospital at 2 am on 15 October and rumours were doing the rounds that it was for a liver problem. His only visitors were the Bachchan family. However, sources told The Quint that the veteran actor has been admitted for a regular check-up. He tweeted his karva chauth greetings to his fans and followers on Twitter on Thursday night.
In 1982, Amitabh Bachchan suffered a serious accident while shooting for Coolie. He had to undergo a surgery immediately, for which 60 units of blood were required. One of the units was infected with Hepatitis B, negatively affecting the actor’s liver. Later, he was diagnosed with Hepatitis B.
