1. First Look: Gujarati Boy Ranveer in a Fix in ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’

Ranveer Singh has wrapped his shoot of ’83, wherein he plays Kapil Dev who led the Indian cricket team to victory in the 1983 World Cup. Now, he has another film in his kitty, Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The first look from the film, directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar, has been unveiled today and Ranveer looks every bit convincing as a Gujarati boy.

2. PC Bestowed With Humanitarian Award at UNICEF Snowflake Ball

Priyanka Chopra was felicitated with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball in New York on 3 December. The actor has been working with UNICEF since 2006, and was appointed the national UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights in 2010 and Global Ambassador in 2016.

“Whenever people think about volunteering, it’s not about intent but action. You can think about, you can be a great person, you can empathise, but unless you do something about it, you’re still doing nothing,” she said while recalling her association with the organisation.

3. ‘No Time to Die’ Trailer: Daniel Craig Back as 007 for Last Time

The trailer for the latest Bond film No Time to Die has been released. The film marks Daniel Craig’s final run as the iconic British secret agent 007, and also stars Captain Marvel’s Lashana Lynch and Rami Malek. The trailer is packed with shots of gorgeous locales and plenty of action, as is de rigueur with the franchise. Bond is pulled out of retirement when his old friend from the CIA Felix Leiter asks him for help, and finds himself in a world different from the one he’s used to with new security threats to contend with. He joins forces with a new agent, played by Lashana Lynch, to take on a new enemy.

4. Farhan to Produce Biopic on Mathematician Vashishtha Narayan Singh

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production house, Excel Entertainment, will produce a biopic on famous mathematician late Vashishtha Narayan Singh. The film will be directed by Neeraj Pathak.

Pathak made the announcement at a press conference in Mumbai on Tuesday. Singh’s family was also present at the event. Neeraj Pathak also said that there is a possibility of casting popular actors, including Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan.

5. Rishi Kapoor to Start Shooting His Next Film in Mumbai

Rishi Kapoor spent around a year in New York undergoing treatment for cancer. He returned to Mumbai on 10 September. Now, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the veteran actor is gearing up to start shooting for debutant director Hitesh Bhatia’s untitled next, which goes to floors on 5 December.

Rishi Kapoor had started shooting for the film in Delhi last year. However, the diagnosis stalled the process and he had to fly to the US for the treatment. “Hitesh’s film is currently under pre-production. It will go on floors in Mumbai on Thursday and will be followed by a month-long schedule in Delhi in January,” a source told the publication.
