Singer-rapper Badshah is all set to make his Bollywood acting debut with none other than Dabangg actor Sonakshi Sinha. Sonakshi took to Instagram to make the final announcement complete with all details including the title of the film as well as the release date. The film is titled Khandaani Shafakhana and will release on 26 July.
“Kab se pooch rahe hai picture ka naam kya hai? PICTURE KA NAAM MIL GAYA!!!
I’m thrilled to announce my film KHANDAANI SHAFAKHANA releasing on 26th July!”, she wrote on Instagram.
She also shared a group picture of the entire team of Khandaani Shafakhana.
However, singer Badshah seems to be missing from the photo. Badshah dropped a light-hearted comment on the photo, implying that he was missing from the photo.
Khandaani Shafakhana is a slice-of-life film being helmed by debutante director Shilpi Dasgupta. While Sonakshi Sinha plays a prominent role, the film also stars other actors like Varun Sharma, Annu Kapoor, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Nadira Babbar. Badhsha had made the announcement that he would be joining the cast of the film on 11 Feb 2019.
He took to Twitter to write, “Journey begins today. Need your wishes and blessings.”
In a report by an entertainment publication, details of Badshah’s character were revealed. According to sources, Badshah will be playing a role that’s similar to his real life persona - a famous Punjabi singer. 2019 has been a year of firsts for the singer as he is making his debut as an actor as well as a producer.

Sonakshi Sinha on the other hand has other projects ahead of her. She will be seen returning as Rajjo in Dabangg 3. Sonakshi says that the character is very close to her heart since she had made her acting debut with the film.
