Akshay Kumar, who turned 51 on 9 September, says age is just a number for him. Speaking to The Hindustan Times on his birthday, the actor said that he’s planning to spend a quiet day at home with his family and that he’s touched by how his fan clubs celebrate his birthday by working towards a cause.

“I actually don’t take this stress of the number in my head about turning 50, 51, 55, 60, or whatever,” says Akshay. He even gave the example of doing a stunt for a film he was shooting recently. “I was giving a shot for Housefull 4 and the jump wasn’t required, but I still did it. I forget that I’m 51 now and I should keep away from it... I’m still thinking that I am in my Khiladi times and just doing action,” admitted Akshay candidly.

Akshay along with wife Twinkle Khanna was spotted with good friend Bobby Deol and his wife on his birthday eve spending a night out at a restaurant. Twinkle posted a picture of their dinner together on social media with the message: “Sometimes when you don’t plan things - it all falls in place - Happy Birthday to my lovely Mr K !”

Salman Khan’s nephew Ahil had his first brush with painting recently under the expert guidance of his superstar uncle. As most people know, Salman is also a talented painter and uses monochrome ink, acrylic and charcoal to express his creative urges on canvas. Arpita and Aayush Sharma’s son Ahil was introduced to paints and brushes and the little one found a mentor in his uncle.

Salman not only got the young painter going on a large canvas by lifting him and getting his colourful footprints on paper, but also showed him how to glide over the paints to create some abstract artwork.

Actress Deepika Padukone has urged women to indulge in self-care and to take some time off their various roles for themselves without feeling guilty about doing so.

"Women have a tendency of feeling a lot of guilt. We are always trying to be perfect in playing different roles, so I feel it is important to take time for yourself and do it without guilt. Even if women go for a spa session, most women are thinking 'Oh, I have to go pick my kids from school' or 'My husband must be coming home'.

"Women are constantly worrying about someone else... But it's okay to take time for yourself and do it without guilt," Deepika said at an event on 'Finding Beauty in Imperfection', organised by Ficci Ladies Organisation (FLO).

In a pristine white ensemble and with her hair neatly tied, Deepika gave a motivational talk on how she dealt with depression, and the work being done by her NGO The Live Love Laugh Foundation, which was founded in 2015 and deals with mental health issues.

What Deepika was not ready to talk about was the speculation around her November wedding to actor Ranveer Singh.

"I am certainly not answering this question... It's an extremely insensitive question to ask at an event like this," Deepika told a scribe who questioned about it.

However, the actress was at peace while she spoke how sharing her own experience of dealing with depression was life-changing for her.

"Sharing my experience with depression made me feel lighter. It was like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders, I felt transparent with no fear of being judged," Deepika said, adding that it left her happier, more sensitive, aware, and with an understanding of how fragile life is.

"The story sort of wrote itself," American singer-actor Nick Jonas said of his romance with Quantico star Priyanka Chopra, opening up for the first time about how they met and what led to their engagement. The former Jonas Brothers band member told the story during an episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, reports eonline.com.

Nick and Priyanka were connected through a friend. After the initial introduction, the two texted each other but didn't actually meet in-person until about six months later.

In May 2017, they attended the Met Gala together. While Jonas said the two "had a great time", he also insisted they went only as friends.

"Our lives were kind of taking us in different places," Nick, 25, told Fallon. It was only in the subsequent few weeks that the couple spent a lot of quality time together and started to spark romance rumours. While people around them started questioning what was cooking, Nick maintained then that their relationship was just platonic.
