“It may open in both Gujarat and MP from Wednesday itself , or it may take a day extra. As for Rajasthan, there was a criminal case against Bhansali, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone accusing them of being part of a film that could incite unrest and violence. The honourable judge of the High Court viewed Padmaavat on Monday evening and came to the conclusion that the film didn’t contain any inflammatory content at all. The film has been ordered to be released. However its release in Rajasthan may take a little longer than Gujarat and  MP.”

With the two states now in the loop for screening the film, Rajasthan coming around may only be a matter of time. The producers expect an added revenue of at least Rs 20-25 crore from MP and Gujarat.
