Promotions of the Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain starrer Loveratri in Vadodara were interrupted multiple times on Monday by Hindu outfit groups taking objection to the title of the film. The two leads were set to drive around on a two wheeler and launch the new song of ‘Chougada tara’ from the film. Members of the Karni Sena disrupted the promotions near Sursagar Lake by waving black flags and chasing the cast away.

Earlier, the team of the film was met by Shiv Sena members at the airport itself. Both times the cast had to be escorted away to safety. A spokesperson for the Shiv Sena Vadodara told Indian Express that they would not allow the film to be released with the same title.

We will not let the movie be released here in Vadodara if they continue with the same name. We do not have an issue with the movie, but the name of the movie is a disregard for the Hindu culture,
Tejas Brahmbhatt, Shiv Sena

Police was called to contain the ruckus but no arrest were made. Loveratri is directed by Abhiraj Minawal, produced by Salman Khan and will be released on 5 October, 2018.
