Katrina Kaif to Play Akshay Kumar's Wife in 'Sooryavanshi'
After delivering the blockbuster Simmba, Rohit Shetty is gearing up for his next, Sooryavanshi. Speculations were rife that Pooja Hedge had joined the team, but Shetty had negated them all. Now, Katrina Kaif is all set to star opposite Akshay Kumar in the film, mid-day reported. “As a pair, Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar have been very popular with fans. She will be playing Akshay’s wife in Sooryavanshi. Katrina has a vital role in the film”, a source told mid-day.
Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar will be reuniting after nine years since their last film Tees Maar Khan. As the second spin-off of Rohit Shetty’s Singham, Sooryavanshi sees Akshay Kumar essay the role of deputy commissioner of police.

'Andhadhun' Crosses Rs 300 Crore at the Chinese Box Office
Ayushmann Khurrana-Radhika Apte starrer Andhadhun has seen roaring success at the box office in China. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has earned Rs 303.36 crore, emerging the third highest grossing Indian film in China.
One Million Tickets Sold in Advance in India Ahead of ‘Avengers Endgame’
Ahead of the release of Avengers: Endgame, which hits theatres on 26 April, ticketing platform BookMyShow witnessed record advance ticket sales with one million tickets sold in just over a day, reports news agency IANS.
Rahul Kadbet, Vice President - Programming, Carnival Cinemas has observed that the maximum ticket sales were witnessed in Delhi/NCR and Mumbai. In a statement to IANS he said, “Around 2.25 lakh tickets have been sold, which is about 74 per cent of the capacity for weekend. We have 1,000+ shows per day for the movie in over 100 cities. Maximum tickets were sold in Delhi/NCR and Mumbai.”
