The 2019 edition of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival was launched with the grand opening ceremony on Thursday night. Among those who graced the red carpet at the opening night were Deepika Padukone, Karan Johar, Taapsee Pannu, Kiran Rao, Anupama Chopra and others. Deepika looked gorgeous in a light pink off shoulder gown as smiled for the cameras. She also kicked off the MAMI Movie Mela earlier this week and spoke about her career so far and the characters she has played.

2. ‘Dabangg 3’: Sonakshi Sinha’s Rajjo Celebrates Karva Chauth
On the occasion of Hindu ritual Karva chauth, the makers of Dabangg 3, which will hit theatres soon, have released a new poster. The poster features our very own ‘Rajjo’ - the character played by Sonakshi Sinha in the film franchise.
In the poster, Sonakshi can be seen holding a sieve towards the sky, in a typical cinematic fashion. She is dressed in a blue and red sari. Her hair is neatly tucked on one side.

3. Big B, Anil Kapoor Share Hilarious Wishes for Karva Chauth
Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor took to social media to pay tribute to their respective spouses on the occasion of Karva Chauth. Big B shared a beautiful throwback black and white photo of Jaya Bachchan on Twitter. “The better half!!! Quite obviously the other half is irrelevant and therefore unseen,” he quipped referring to the fact that he had been cropped out of the frame.

4. Karan Singh Grover Thanks ‘Kasautii’ Cast for an Amazing Farewell
Karan Singh Grover, who plays Mr Bajaj in Ekta Kapoor’s popular daily soap Kasautii Zindagii Kay, has finally exited the show. According to reports, he wasn’t happy with his role and had conveyed this to Ekta. However, Karan took to Instagram to share a photo with the entire cast on his last day. “Thank you for an awesome time and such an amazing farewell!! It was a pleasure working with ya’ll!, Karan wrote. Parth Samthaan, Sahil Anand, Erica Fernandes, Pooja Banerjee and Shubhaavi were among Karan’s co-actors who struck a pose with him.

5. Army Man Sooraj Searches for Meaning in Satellite Shankar Trailer
The trailer for Sooraj Pancholi’s upcoming film Satellite Shankar is out. The movie tells the tale of a young jawan in the Indian army who journeys across India in his quest to discover the country. Along the way, he puts his own life at risk to save his fellow countrymen from dangerous situations. In return, they come together to make sure he returns to his base camp in time.
Satellite Shankar has been directed by Irfan Kamal and features the Bollywood debut of South Indian actor Megha Akash, who plays Sooraj’s love interest in the film.
