On the occasion of Diwali on 27 October, Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to wish his fans. He posted a family photo, with his wife Gauri Khan and son AbRam. However, this family photo is not the usual kind. It’s a close up of all three of their foreheads with teeka on them. In the caption, SRK wishes his fans a happy Diwali and life. The caption reads, “ #HappyDiwali to everyone. May your lives be lit up and happy.”

Shabana Azmi on Monday 28 October tweeted in defence of Shah Rukh Khan, who had allegedly been trolled for sporting a tilak in a Diwali photo he shared on Twitter on Sunday.
“Appalled to read that @iamsrk Diwali greeting invites wrath of rabid Islamists, gets called a “False Muslim” for sporting a tilak!”FUNDOS get a life! 3. SRK, Malaika, Virat, Anushka at Bachchan’s Big Diwali Bash
On 27 October, to celebrate Diwali, Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan threw a big Diwali bash at his residence in Juhu in Mumbai. Naturally, the grand celebration came with a long guest list that included pretty much everyone from Bollywood and beyond. Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Anushka Sharma were some of the celebrities present. Malaika Arora arrived with her siser Amrita. Filmmakers like David Dhawan and Nandita Das were also present. The celebs were completely decked out and dazzling in their ethnic outfits.

Karishma Kapoor hosted her annual Diwali party at her home and invited family and close friends for the celebrations.
