Boney Kapoor to Auction Sridevi’s Sari for Charity
24 February this year will be the first death anniversary and to mark the occasion, husband Boney Kapoor and the rest of her family have decided to put up one of her beloved saris for auction and donate the proceedings to a charitable organisation.
The family have chosen the website Parisera as the platform where the starting bid for the sari is Rs 40,000 and the current bid as of this article was Rs 45,000. The earnings will be donated to Concern India Foundation, which works for the benefit of women, children, the differently abled, the underprivileged and the elderly.

Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom Engaged
Singer Katy Perry says she got engaged to actor Orlando Bloom on Valentine's Day this year, following a three-year on-off romance.
The "Part of me" hitmaker on Friday took to Instagram to share the news, reports dailymail.co.uk.
"Full bloom," she wrote along with a photograph of herself with her fiance Orlando, flaunting her ring.
Th "Troy" actor also shared the same photograph writing, "Lifetimes".
Katy's mother Mary Hudson also shared images of the emotional proposal on Facebook, with caption: "Look who got engaged last night."
Perry was previously married to actor Russell Brand, while Orlando was married to model Miranda Kerr.
Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi Cancel Pakistan Visit
In the wake of the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar and his wife actress Shabana Azmi have decided not to attend an event in Pakistan.
Akhtar on Friday took to Twitter to share that they will not be joining the event, being organised by the Karachi Art Council.
"Karachi Art Council had invited Shabana and me for a two-day literature conference about Kaifi Azmi and his poetry. We have cancelled that," he tweeted.
A suicide bomber on Thursday rammed his SUV packed with explosives into a CRPF bus on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Pulwama district. The death toll in the horrific suicide bombing rose to 49 on Friday.
The Thursday horror was the worst loss to security forces on any single day in Jammu and Kashmir since a separatist campaign broke out in 1989.
Condemning the attack, Shabana said that she is "filled with pain and grief".
R. Kelly Faces New Sexual Assault Allegations
Lawyer Michael Avenatti has released a video tape which allegedly shows rapper R. Kelly sexually assaulting a minor girl.
Avenatti on Thursday took to Twitter and claimed that he has handed over the video to police in which the "Ignition" hitmaker is seen having sex with the 14-year-old girl, reports cnn.com.
"My client knows the identity of the girl and R. Kelly. He identified the two of them on the videotape. He worked for and has known R. Kelly for decades, and he met the girl on a number of occasions," said Avenatti, who is reportedly representing an individual who the attorney describes as a whistleblower against Kelly.
Kelly was previously arrested in 2002 for his alleged involvement in a child pornography tape that featured similar sexual acts.
Following the new allegations, Kelly's lawyer Steve Greenberg said: "We are unaware of any new information involving Mr. Kelly. We have not been contacted by anyone. We have not been informed about any new information by anyone and we have not been contacted by law enforcement."
'Gully Boy' Earns Rs 18.70 Cr on Day 1 at the Box Office
Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy has been well-received since premiering on 14 February. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has earned Rs 18.70 crore on day 1.
Gully Boy also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Kalki Koechlin and Vijay Raaz. It has been produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Productions.
