After facing several delays, Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez-starrer Drive will premiere on Netflix as the streaming platform’s first original film with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the action-thriller also stars Boman Irani, Pankaj Tripathi, Vibha Chhibber, Sapna Pabbi and Vikramjeet Virk.

Alia Bhatt shared a heartfelt message and a throwback picture of herself with dad Mahesh Bhatt on the occasion of the veteran filmmaker’s 71st birthday on Friday 20 September.

3. India at Par With World: Radhika on ‘Lust Stories’ Emmy Nomination

On Thursday, nominations for the 2019 International Emmy Awards were announced by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and Netflix’s Lust Stories was one of them! Lust Stories is an anthology series starring Radhika Apte and other Indian actors. Radhika Apte has been nominated in the Best Performance By An Actress at the International Emmy Awards.

Reacting to the news, Radhika told IANS, “It's a great feeling to be appreciated for your efforts and also I'm thrilled that Indian content is at par with today's world television.”

She further added that, “The new digital platforms have made it possible for us to better our content and have given us the platform to put it up. I'm absolutely thrilled that both Sacred Games and Lust Stories are nominated.”

4. Seems Like Yesterday: ‘Friends’ Cast Celebrates 25th Anniversary

As the iconic show Friends completes 25 years, the cast of the show got us all nostalgic by sharing an emotional note on Instagram. The first episode was aired on September 22, 1994. For all the fans of the show, it’ll always be about a Thursday night, and so the cast made sure to share identical pictures on social media on a Thursday night, thanking fans for their unconditional love.

5. Olivia Colman Debuts as the Queen in ‘The Crown’ Season 3 Teaser

The much awaited teaser of Netflix’s The Crown Season 3 is finally here and it marks Academy award winner Olivia Colman’s debut as Queen Elizabeth II. She takes over the role from Claire Foy, who essayed the character in the first two seasons of the series. Season 3 will premiere on 17 November on Netflix.

The 30-second teaser talks about ‘the Majesty’s transition from a young woman to a settled sovereign,’ as said by the Queen’s aide when Colman expresses herself to be more of an ‘old bat’. The teaser shows glimpses of Claire Foy as the young Queen in portraits. Watch the teaser here:
