1. Bollywood Registers Film Titles ‘Article 370’ ‘Kashmir Hamara Hai’

Bollywood seems to have lost no time in registering film titles relating to the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. A source close to the Indian Motion Pictures’ Producers’ Association (IMPPA) tells us that between 20 to 30 producers have approached the body to register the title Article 370 and Article 35A.

Other titles related to the government’s decision to revoke Article 370 include Kashmir Hamara Hai and the literal translation of Article 370 and 35A in Hindi - Dhara 370 and Dhara 35A.

2. Hrithik’s Grandfather and Filmmaker J Om Prakash Passes Away

Veteran filmmaker and Hrithik Roshan’s maternal grandfather J. Om Prakash passed away on Wednesday (7 August) in Mumbai. He was 92 years old. Actor Deepak Parashar confirmed the news on Twitter. “ My dearest uncle Mr J Om Prakash passed away about an hour ago. So saddened as he joins his friend, my Mamaji Mr Mohan Kumar in heaven ! Their contributions to Indian cinema is a gift they left behind for us ! Took this pic few months ago when went to see him ! Om Shanti !”, Deepak wrote.

3. Sidharth Malhotra Heads to Kargil to Shoot for ‘Shershaah’

Sidharth Malhotra is very busy with the last-minute promotions of Jabariya Jodi, which is set to hit the theatres on Friday, 9 August. However, he has already signed a couple of projects, the Captain Vikram Batra biopic Shershaah being one. One of the locations selected is Jammu and Kashmir, but due to tension in the Valley because of the announcement of revocation of Article 370, speculations were rife that the shooting might be affected.

However, quashing all rumours the producers have issued a statement that Sidharth Malhotra and the team will shoot in Kargil from the first week of August as planned.

In 2012, Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn co-starred in Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan. Now, after seven long years, the actors are all set to share screen space again. According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Abhishek and Ajay will be joining hands for a drama film helmed by Kookie Gulati. Kookie Gulati and Ajay Devgn have previously worked together in Total Dhamaal.

5. First Look of Shah Rukh’s Daughter Suhana’s Short Film Revealed

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri’s daughter Suhana is currently pursuing an acting course from the United States. Now, the 19-year-old is all set to star in a short film titled The Grey Part of Blue. It is directed by her classmate, Theodore Gimeno, who took to Instagram to share the posters of the film. We can see a portrait of Suhana, sporting a casual look. It has been sketched by Oscar Davis. There’s also a similar portrait of Suhana’s co-star, Robin Gonnella.
