Gold is said to be loosely based on the life of Balbir Singh, who was a part of the team that won the first Olympic medal for India as a free nation in 1948. Helmed by Reema Kagti, the film also marks the debut of Naagin fame Mouni Roy.
Gold is slated to hit theatres on August 15, 2018.
