Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn will be pairing up for filmmaker Luv Ranjan’s next directorial venture. Unlike the filmmaker’s previous works, like Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, this one will reportedly be an action-thriller. According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the film is expected to go on floors by the end of 2019.
While this film will indeed be a turning point in Luv Ranjan’s career, as he will be moving away from his usual romcom scripts, it will also be a turning point for Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor. So far, Ranbir has experimented with various different genres but an action-thriller hasn’t been one of them.
The film’s script has been in the works for about two years now and its first draft has finally been locked. It’s expected to be a high-budget production. The filmmakers are currently on the lookout for a suitable female lead for the film. As of now, the filmmaker is hoping for a release in April 2020.
Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor have previously worked together in Rajneeti. Ajay Devgn’s upcoming De De Pyaar De will release on 17 May.
