Abhishek Varman’s epic drama set in the 1940s is titled Kalank boasts an ensemble cast of Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapoor.
Varun Dhawan took to social media to share a picture of his battle-scarred body in the film.

The inception of the idea by Karan Johar and his late father Yash Johar goes back 19 years. The period drama will also see Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment collaborate.
Sridevi was the first choice for the film, which was reportedly titled Shiddat earlier but after her demise in February, she was replaced by Madhuri Dixit.

The film will go on floors by the end of April.
