After two consecutive successes at the box office with Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho, Ayushmann Khurrana is set to star in another romantic comedy titled Dream Girl alongside Nushrat Bharucha, which is set to release on 13 September.
This is the first time that the two actors will be working together. The film will be directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, who has written for The Kapil Sharma Show and films like Freaky Ali and Welcome Back, and produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures.
The makers have released the first poster of the film which shows Ayushmann in a sari and bangles on a bike. In the words of the actor, it’s “as whacky as it gets”.

In a statement Nushrat said, “After working with Ekta in the past, this is a homecoming of sorts for me. I am excited to work with Ayushmann for this comedy entertainer. Interestingly, this year has been favourable for strong content-driven films; and this film will, hopefully, continue this tide.” She has previously been seen in films such as Love, Sex aur Dhokha and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
