Big B’s Hilarious Avatar in First Look of ‘Gulabo Sitabo’

If Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and filmmaker Shoojit Sircar are teaming up for a project, it’s bound to be amazing. And the first look of their upcoming film Gulabo Sitabo, which released today, proves just that.

In the photo, Amitabh Bachchan looks hilarious. In the first look, the 76-year-old thespian is seen sporting a long beard, spectacles, a head scarf and a prosthetic nose making Big B look almost unrecognisable.

Gulabo Sitabo also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and is set to release on 24 April, 2020. It is written by Juhi Chaturvedi, who also wrote Piku.

Speaking about Shoojit and Amitabh’s collaboration, here’s what a source had to say:

The cast and crew of the film are currently filming in Lucknow. Gulabo Sitabo will also be the first collaboration between Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan.

Gulabo Sitabo - a legendary pair of puppet sisters have been part of Uttar Pradesh's folklore and their tales have been a part of childhood. The film, apparently, is a take-off on these two characters and is believed to be a comedy.

Ayushmann Khurrana will next be seen in Article 15. Article 15 is based on the 2014 Badaun rape and murder case in Uttar Pradesh. After much speculation and investigation, it was found that few upper-caste men in the village had raped the Dalit girls and hanged them from a tree. Ayushmann Khurrana plays the role of the investigating officer in them film. It will release on 28 June.
