1. Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia Granted Divorce by Bandra Court

After over two decades since Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia tied the knot, a family court granted them bail by mutual consent on Tuesday. According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, principal judge Shailaja Sawant granted the couple divorce under the Special Marriage Act, nearly six months after they had approached the court on 30 April, 2019. Though the exact terms of the divorce are not yet known, the couple’s two daughters will stay with Mehr in Bandra.

Interfaith marriages are always registered under Special Marriage Act, and the couple has to stay separately for a year after they file a plea for divorce by mutual consent.

2. Nagarjuna to Play the Role of an Archaeologist in ‘Brahmastra’

Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy will also have Nagarjuna playing a pivotal role. The Telugu superstar will be playing the role of an archaeologist in the film which is touted to be a sci-fi/ fantasy trilogy.

His character will be traveling to an ancient temple near the Ganges on an expedition, where he’ll meet Shiva and Isha (Ranbir and Alia). He has finished shooting for his portions in the film. Recently, Shah Rukh Khan also shot a cameo in Filmcity Studios for the film.

3. ‘Tanhaji’ in Political Tussle: MNS Supports, NCP Raises Objections

It seems that the Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan-starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has got into a political tussle. While the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena is wholeheartedly supporting the film, the Nationalist Congress Party has asked the makers to not distort the history of the characters.

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is supporting the Ajay Devgn-starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, a film based on the life of a legendary military leader in the Maratha empire, Tanaji Malusare. The political party, which is known for opposing the release of Hindi films dubbed in Marathi, approved the Om Raut directorial saying that “it should be dubbed in as many languages as possible.

4. Shah Rukh Khan Congratulates Acid Attack Victim on her Wedding

Shah Rukh Khan’s non-profit organisation, Meer Foundation, aids acid attack survivors and highlighting their causes. The actor has now congratulated an acid attack survivor, Anupama on Twitter as she got married. He wrote, “Congratulations and my love to Anupama as she starts on this new journey of life. May it be filled with love light and laughter. U r the man Jagdeep...and may u both have double the reasons to be happy with this union.”

5. Priyanka Congratulates Nick & Jonas Brothers for Grammy Nomination

On 20 November, Priyanka Chopra took to social media to wish her husband Nick Jonas and the band Jonas Brothers for their Grammy nomination. The Jonas Brothers’ hit song ‘Sucker’ from their most recent album Happiness Begins has been nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Priyanka wrote on Twitter, “So proud of you @jonasbrothers !! I love you” She also posted a brief video clip of Jonas Brothers’ photos put together to the tune of ‘Sucker’.
