‘Aadhaar’ Teaser: A Tale Dipped in Innocence and Humour

The teaser for upcoming Bollywood film Aadhar , starring Vineet Kumar Singh, released on 6 September. It is directed by National Film Award-winner Suman Ghosh.

The teaser begins with the setting of a village. The villagers have all gathered in an open field as an announcement is being made. The residents are being introduced to the concept of an Aadhaar card. After which, the camera cuts to Vineet’s character as he is in the middle of the process of getting his Aadhar card made. As he questions the system, his words are dripping with innocence and unexpected humour.

Earlier, a poster of the film had been released on social media. It shows Vineet dressed in simple clothes with a duffel bag on his shoulder with a stack of various Aadhar cards behind him. The poster says, “ Aadhar. Sabka Number Aayega (Everyone’s turn will come).”

Aadhar  is the story of a man who is the first person from his village to enrol for an Aadhaar card. The film also stars Saurabh Shukla, Raghubir Yadav and Prrithvi. The film will be having its world premiere at the 24th Busan International Film Festival being held in October. It will hit theatres on 6 December.
