South African national and hairstylist, Brendon Allister De Gee has reportedly been arrested by Mumbai’s Khar police for allegedly raping a 16-year-old boy. Brendon, who is hairstylist to many Bollywood celebrities, including Kangana Ranaut, met the minor through a dating app. Brendon is booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and remanded to police custody till October 3.
Brendon was arrested from the sets of Kangana’s upcoming film, Manikarnika in Raigad district in Maharashtra.
The minor reportedly lied about his age and was sexually involved with several men he met throug the dating app. His mother, having caught him in his bedroom, filed a complaint against all involved.
Eight people, including Brendon, a school teacher and a businessman have been arrested in the case.
