1. Amitabh Bachchan Tweets a Happy Friendship Day Message for Dharmendra
Jai tweeted a heartfelt message for Veeru on Friendship Day. The megastar was feeling nostalgic and poetic about his close friends in the industry, Dharmendra and Shatrughan Sinha. Apart from Jai and Veeru’s bromance continuing, filmmaker Karan Johar tweeted some wise words while Akshay ‘Rustom’ Kumar shared an adorable click with his best friend and wife Twinkle Khanna.
2. Is YRF Underplaying Sultan Box Office Collections?
The Salman Khan starrer wrestling drama Sultan crossed the Rs 200 crore mark within a just a few days of its release at the box office. But mysteriously, the official collection figures haven’t crossed the Rs 300 crore mark yet, even after a month of the film being in theatres. There was hardly a trade analyst in the industry who didn’t predict for Sultan to cross the Rs 300 crore figure in collections. But the film is still stuck just below the mark at Rs 298.47 crore.
The industry has been buzzing with speculations around the film’s crawling pace in week 4. Some reports suggest that Salman Khan had a profit sharing deal with the film’s producers at YRF, according to which they would have to pay the star a higher share in profits if the film crosses the Rs 300 crore mark. Going by this theory some claim that YRF is underplaying Sultan collections to avoid sharing a larger chunk of it with its lead star. While neither Salman Khan, nor YRF have commented on this theory, it is creating quite a stir among Salman fans, who even made #YRFStopReducingSULTANFigures trend on Twitter recently.
3. Jai Gangaajal Co-Producer Accuses Prakash Jha of Fraud
Play Entertainment, co-producers of the Priyanka Chopra-starrer Jai Gangaajal has filed a police complaint against its director Prakash Jha’s production company, alleging fraud and cheating.
In a breach of the MoU filed between us for ‘Jai Gangaajal’, we are yet to receive the master copy of the film which is causing losses to our production house as we are not able to execute any commercial deals or sell satellite rights to any TV channel in the absence of the original copy.Milind Dabke, Play Entertainment CEO
Play Entertainment has said in the case of its another collaboration with Jha, the Arshad Warsi-starrer Fraud Saiyaan, though the agreement was to grant all copyrights to the company, the copyright of sound recording of the film was sold to another music firm.
Therefore, it clearly suggests that at the time of executing the MoU, the fact that music rights were sold to another company was intentionally suppressed.Milind Dabke
A top official in Jha’s company has, however, snubbed the allegations as baseless and said that the case has been filed with an intention to gain cheap publicity.

Agrawal said that for Jai Gangaajal, he has already written more than 10 letters to Play Entertainment asking them to collect the master copy of the film, which was initially not given as due payments were not made.
We later realised that we will not receive money, so decided to simply give it (master copy) to them so that the film does not suffer. As far as Fraud Saiyaan is concerned, we were already bound by a deal to sell music rights of three films to the music company of which Fraud Saiyaan was one. Later, we requested the music company to relinquish their right over the music of this particular film which they did. Thus, all music rights remain with Play EntertainmentSunil Agrawal
Meanwhile, Bharat Gaikwad, senior police inspector of Amboli police station, said they have received a complaint in the matter and investigation is underway.

4. Saif Ali Khan Makes Another Visit to the Hospital
Saif Ali Khan had recently injured his hand and has been getting treatment for the same. Though his plaster has grown smaller in size, his visits to the hospital continue. Though we didn’t spot Kareena with him this time, but the actor had two friends accompanying him. Dressed in a comfortable all white kurta pyjama and Kohlapuris, Saif does look like he spent the day in Mumbai’s Kokilaben hospital.

Kareena Kapoor was recently spotted at a popular Italian restaurant in Bandra, where she took her entourage and friend Amrita Arora out for lunch. Kareena reportedly hangs out with her team even on weekends and holidays and looks like this was the perfect friendship day celebration.
