1. Baby’s Day Out: Little Taimur Makes Kareena’s Day at Work
Taimur Ali Khan was born to be viral. We’ve spotted him on holidays, at birthday parties and in the car with his celebrity parents Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. But here’s a real surprise. Baby Taimur recently visited his mum on the sets of a brand shoot, where aunt Karisma and her kids Samiera and Kiaan were also hanging out.
Karisma posted the happy family picture on Instagram. Kareena had previously slammed trollers who were shaming her for being ‘too busy’ for her baby, saying that Taimur will be accompanying her during the filming of Veere Di Wedding, even on outdoor shoots if need be. But the big smiles in this picture are proof that the working mom needs her bundle of joy around, just as much as he does.

2. Watch Out, Khaleesi! Katrina Wants to Be Cast in ‘Game of Thrones’
These days, it’s hard to meet someone who’s not a Game of Thrones fan. And Bollywood actor, Katrina Kaif is one of us too!
Katrina took to Instagram, dressed like a Dothraki, pleading to be cast in Game of Thrones.
Much like Emilia Clarke’s Insta posts, her hashtags told the full story. Katrina loves the moody and broody, Jon Snow (who doesn’t).

3. Javed Akhtar Reacts to SC’s Landmark Triple Talaq Verdict
In a landmark judgment, the Supreme Court struck down the practice of triple talaq as unconstitutional. The SC bench declared the practice “un-Islamic, retrograde, unworthy” and said that it “violates right to equality”. The verdict was reached by a 3:2 split within a five judge Supreme Court bench.
Poet, lyricist and screenwriter, Javed Akhtar reacted to the historic verdict.
Of course it’s a welcome decision. Any law, personal or otherwise, which victimizes women must be removed. Many of us have been shouting about getting rid of the triple talaq. I’ve spoken against it at various public events for close to 20 years. It’s a pity the decision to abolish this inhuman practice has come from outside the Muslim community.

4. Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ Promises a Visual Treat
On superstar Chiranjeevi’s birthday, his fans have been handed the first look of his upcoming Telegu film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The poster and the name of Chiranjeevi’s next film was unveiled by his son, Ram Charan Teja in a big event on the occasion of the superstar turning 62 on Tuesday.

Ajith Kumar popularly known as Thala is a Tamil superstar who along with arch rival Vijay is fighting a fierce fan battle for the Kollywood throne. Two years after his super hit Vedalam (2015), Ajith’s new film Vivegam is releasing on Thursday, 24 August worldwide. The man who has been ruling the industry for the last three decades, superstar Rajinikanth, is under pressure as the fans of Ajith and Vijay loudly proclaim in social media that their hero is being anointed as the next king.
Tamil cinema stardom over the years has been driven by superstars who have been pitted against each other by media and fans. First it was MGR versus Sivaji, followed by Kamal versus Rajini, now it is Vijay versus Ajith that keeps the box-office pot boiling for the fans. The barometer of an actor’s popularity today is the social media and it is almost equally divided between Ajith and Vijay fans who are constantly at each other’s throats.
