1. Alia to Play a Kashmiri Spy in Meghna Gulzar’s Thriller ‘Raazi’

Alia Bhatt is all set to star in Meghna Gulzar’s espionage thriller, Raazi. According to reports, Alia has been signed on to play Sehmat, a Kashmiri woman who marries a Pakistani officer (to be played by Vicky Kaushal) with the intention to source out intelligence details and pass it off to Indian forces.

Majority of the film will be shot in Kashmir and Punjab; and a small part of it in Mumbai. Alia took to Twitter to share her excitement on signing on the project.

3. Sridevi Says Her Comment on Marriage for Jhanvi Was Misunderstood

Sridevi has clarified on her Instagram account that her recent comment that it would make her happier to see her daughter Jhanvi married than do a Bollywood film was “misunderstood”.

Earlier this week, in an interview to a Mumbai based newspaper, Sridevi was quoted saying the following about Jhanvi’s debut film:

"She (Jhanvi) wanted to do the film and initially, I wasn't in favour. I don't think it's a bad industry. I am a creation of this world. But, as a parent, it would give me greater joy to see her married. But her happiness matters more, and if she does well as an actress, I will be a proud mother,"

However, now Sridevi has posted a message stating that she wants her daughters to stand on their own feet:

4. Varun Dhawan Poses With ‘Baahubali’ Prabhas, Pic Goes Viral

At a recent party at Karan Johar’s place, Varun Dhawan took his chance to do what Kattappa did - kill Baahubali.

Varun struck the iconic pose from Baahubali - with him striking a sword through Prabhas’ back. The actor posted the picture on his Instagram with the following comment:

The picture went viral with over 3.4k retweets on Twitter alone.

Prabhas is currently in talks with a few Bollywood filmmakers for a Hindi project, but according to reports he hasn’t signed any film yet. Apparently, talks for a film with Karan Johar has fallen through, but a film with Sajid Nadiadwala may be announced soon.

5. Bhanot Family Accuses ‘Neerja’ Producers of Criminal Conspiracy

Accusing the producers of Bollywood blockbuster and national award winning movie Neerja of "criminal conspiracy" and going back on their word of sharing 10 percent of the net profit, the braveheart flight purser Neerja Bhanot's family has moved the court here.

"The entire episode has trappings of a criminal conspiracy between respondent (Bling Unplugged) and Fox Star Studios India Pvt Ltd, who right from the inception of the agreement (between the family and the producers), in a planned manner had dishonestly induced the petitioners and family members of late Rama Bhanot with the intention of wrongful gains to themselves," the petition moved by the family before the Punjab and Haryana High Court has stated.
