Bigg Boss: Day 96. Welcome to another day of a**hatery and glorification of abuse and violence, in the name of a task. I often sit to wonder who comes up with these “tasks”? Are the writers of this show former convicts of Tihar, who have now taken up the writing profession? Or maybe they were the infamous tormentors of Abu Ghraib? I reckon we’ll never know. Anyway, on with the show.
Before getting into the gory details of the day, the inmates, namely, Manu and Manveer rehash the events of the previous day. Kyunki gade murde jagana inki purani aadat hain. They bitch about Lopa and how she got overprotective of Manveer during the task, which led to them losing it. Yaar, Manveer, pehli baar koi ladki bhaav de rahi hai tujhe, just chill and enjoy the attention na, kyun itni problem hain?
Of course, Lopa doesn’t give me a chance to defend her either. She ends up picking a fight with, resident chikna, Rohan. Mind you, this fight is about how Lopa got protective about Manveer during the task. Basically, running around the same mill as Manu and Manveer. You know, those who say the show is scripted, are liars; if the show was scripted, at least they would have come up with better fights. But, I digress.
Eventually we get a glimpse of Bani having a chat with Manu. Any guesses about what? THE SAME DAMN THING THAT MANU AND MANVEER TALKED ABOUT, AND THEN, LOPA AND ROHAN FOUGHT ABOUT. Dude, Bani, I know you’ve come from one reality sh*tshow to another, but tumse yeh umeed nahi thi.
Finally, we’re shown Lopa and Manu who have taken up the job of strategising against Team Rohan, for the upcoming task. The tactical geniuses come up with an idea for a fake snake, and use eggs and oils to weaken Team Rohan’s resolve. Orson Scott Card is planning to retire.
And thus, the task commences. Members of Team Rohan are hooked up to bungee cords and helmets, and another fight breaks out between the two teams, as to how the cord cannot be touched or can be touched. As the task starts, they put eggs and oil into Team Rohan’s shoes, and destroy their apparel. No Manu, don’t ‘just do it’. Manu and Manveer show no mercy as they splash buckets of water onto the players and we feel a bit for Team Rohan. Rohan is already so gora, kyun aur dhula rahe ho?
Who will win, Team Manu or Team Rohan? We know who is losing for sure: Team Good Television Shows.
