Arjun Rampal and Jackie Shroff were spotted at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. This obviously kicked off reports that the actors were going to join the political party and play an important role in the upcoming elections in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
Speaking to the media outside the BJP office, Rampal said that he was not a politician and wasn’t officially joining politics but only wanted to support the good work that the current government is doing for the country. The actor said that he strongly supported the Prime Minister’s demonetisation plan and the Swachh Bharat campaign.

When asked if he would be campaigning for the party in the coming state elections, Rampal said, “If I feel that the person I am campaigning for is worth it, then maybe.”
