Ranveer Singh, Vaani Kapoor and Aditya Chopra can rest easy for the moment. Their film Befikre may have opened to mixed reviews, but it has had a good day one at the box-office. The film which reportedly cost Rs 70 crore earned around Rs 10 crore on its opening day across India.

According to reports, the cost of the film was approximately Rs 55 crore, add to it the marketing expense of Rs 15 crore - which means the film would need to make over Rs 70 crore for it to break even. Keeping in mind that Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt-starrer Dear Zindagi had a day one collection of Rs 8.75 crore, a double digit figure of over Rs 10 crore for a Ranveer-starrer is good news. But the film will have to perform increasingly well over the weekend for it to make profits in the long run.

Befikre has also opened in 800 screens outside India, which would also add to its revenue.
