Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Saturday, 18 May told the media that the Muslim vote in Delhi shifted in favour of Congress at the last moment.

Speaking to The Indian Express during his rally in Punjab’s Rajpura, Kejriwal said that it seemed like AAP is winning all seven seats till 48 hours prior to the elections. But at the last moment, complete Muslim vote shifted to the Congress.

"We are trying to figure out what happened," he was quoted by The Indian Express as saying.

The Delhi CM also talked about the Assembly elections in Delhi, scheduled for next year, the outcome of the Lok Sabha elections and the Election Commission.

On Delhi elections, Kejriwal said that the work speaks the loudest in Delhi and that he will see if the party will field the same MLA candidates as the last time.

On the outcome of the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, Kejriwal said that PM Modi should not come back to power, unless they (BJP) do not tamper with the EVMs.

Kejriwal further said that if the government is minus Modi and Shah and if his party gets enough seats, AAP will support any government on the pre-condition of statehood for Delhi.

On the Election Commission, Kejriwal said that the Opposition distributed a lot of money during the last 10 days. He said that he has been giving people a call that they should take the money but vote for AAP, something he had said during the Delhi Assembly elections as well.

“This time the EC has acted mischiveously and sent me a notice that if I repeat this they will de-recognise my party so I stopped speaking. This worked for me during the Delhi elections.”
