Following the incident, Yadav denied claims about the involvement of bodyguards, adding that he has filed an FIR against the journalist for attacking him.

According to ANI report, Yadav was coming out of the booth at the Veterinary College after casting his vote, when mediapersons surrounded him to get quotes and photographs.

A police official said that in the commotion, a cameraman's foot came under the wheel of Yadav's car, following which a heated exchange of words ensued between the angry mediapersons and his bodyguards.
