Former RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav on Sunday, 19 May, alleged that a "conspiracy is being hatched to kill him", after a video showed a physical brawl between his bodyguards and a journalist outside a polling booth in Bihar.
Following the incident, Yadav denied claims about the involvement of bodyguards, adding that he has filed an FIR against the journalist for attacking him.
According to ANI report, Yadav was coming out of the booth at the Veterinary College after casting his vote, when mediapersons surrounded him to get quotes and photographs.
A police official said that in the commotion, a cameraman's foot came under the wheel of Yadav's car, following which a heated exchange of words ensued between the angry mediapersons and his bodyguards.

ANI reported that the windscreen of Yadav's car was broken in the scuffle. A video by ANI shows the personal security guards thrashing a cameraperson.
Speaking about the incident, Yadav told IANS:
“My bouncers have not done anything. I was leaving after casting my vote when a photographer hit the windscreen of my car. I have filed an FIR at Patna’s Airport police station. A conspiracy is being hatched to kill me.”
EC Seeks Report on the Incident
Taking cognisance of the matter, the Election Commission has sought a report from the District Magistrate and assured action against the guilty in the case.
