Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi thanked the Indian cricket team for gifting him a signed Kohli jersey on his retirement from international cricket.

“It’s a pleasure to have gifted something of importance and a lasting memory,” replied Kohli.

Virat’s number 18 jersey that was gifted to Afridi had signatures of the Indian captain, Ashish Nehra, Suresh Raina, Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravichandran Ashwin, Hardik Pandya, among others.

The 37-year-old Afridi bid adieu to his 21-year-old international career in February when he announced his retirement from T20 cricket. He had already retired from Test and One-Day formats of the game.

Afridi was recently announced as one of eight Champion Ambassadors, along with India's Harbhajan Singh, for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy, to be held in the United Kingdom from 1 to 18 June.
