Another Ashwin Landmark: Picks 64th Wicket to Surpass Kapil Dev

Ashwin now has the most Test wickets for India in a home season.

Off the fifth ball of the second day of the first Test, R Ashwin picked up Australia’s last wicket to get them all out for 260 in their first innings. With this, he picked up Test 64 wickets in the home season, the most by any bower.

The offie surpassed Kapil Dev’s record of 63 wickets to reach the milestone.

Off Ashwin’s fifth delivery in the first over of the day, Starc (61) was caught out at deep midwicket, sending the Aussies back to the dressing room.
