Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday, 5 June, announced further easing of curbs in the national capital. The announcement comes amid the decline in new coronavirus cases in Delhi over the last few weeks. On Friday, it reported 523 new infections, with a positivity rate of 0.68 percent, and 50 fatalities.

The process of unlocking had started in Delhi from last week, with construction and industrial activities first allowed.

Here’s what’s allowed in the national capital for the next one week.

Can ‘Work From Office’ resume?

  • Private offices will be allowed to function with 50 percent attendance.
  • For government officers, those with group A officers will be allowed to function with 100 percent attendance, while those with group B staff will be allowed to operate with 50 percent attendance.
  • Essential services can continue with 100 percent staff

What are the rules for reopening non-essential shops/malls?

Markets and malls allowed to open on an odd-even basis, starting 7 June.

Shops can remain open until 8 pm.

When will Delhi Metro resume operations?

The resumption of Delhi Metro operations with 50 percent capacity will begin from Monday, 7 June.

Can one move in cars/autos or cabs without e-pass?

Yes. However, please note that the curfew on movement remains on paper, people are allowed to step out for permitted activities.

Are e-commerce deliveries allowed?

Yes, e-commerce will continue as earlier.

When will restaurants reopen?

There is no update on restaurants, gyms and bars. Watch out this space for latest information.
