Even as the case of molestation allegations against TVF chief Arunabh Kumar gains ground, Bollywood is reportedly gearing up to tackle a case of sexual harassment in quite an unprecedented manner.

According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom Films is taking a tough stand against Queen director Vikas Bahl, who has reportedly been accused of sexual harassment by a colleague. And apparently, she’s not the first victim.

Bahl, who is a stakeholder in Phantom Films along with Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena, has reportedly been asked to step down from his position post an internal investigation according to the guidelines of the Vishakha committee.

According to the report, one of the stakeholders who chose to remain anonymous said that the company decided to take action against Bahl because it was getting “too much” as there have been “multiple victims”.

He also insisted that they were determined to put a stop to such practices and do the “right thing”.

Vikas Bahl Denies Accusations

Bahl himself has denied the allegations and said he is being “victimised”. He insisted that he and the lady are “friends” and she is not an employee. He also said that if she is “feeling like this”, he would “want to ask her” if he “crossed a line”, and “would like to apologise for it.”

Another stakeholder, Madhu Mantena, too has denied the report of Bahl being asked to step down.
