The Flipkart Group organisation will focus on value creation through a portfolio of "new high-growth businesses", while also managing capital allocations across group companies such as Flipkart, Myntra-Jabong and PhonePe.

We are now ready to build the Flipkart of the future as we continue on our journey of transforming commerce in India through technology. I am confident that this new organisation structure will deliver further value for the Flipkart group.

Binny had replaced co-founder Sachin Bansal as the CEO in January 2016, when the latter was named as the executive chairman of the group. Sachin will continue his duties in his current leadership role, the statement added.
