My growing up years were fraught with hardship on the health front. Mom's health was fragile and she required frequent hospitalisation that resulted in high medical bills, etc. I simply came to hate doctors, hospitals and all the commercialisation they stood for. Since then I have carried with me a burning passion to make some contribution to the health landscape for the needy in our country.
Over the last few years, Genesis Foundation has enabled me to make a tangible contribution to a cause always close to my heart. I have seen the transformation of lives, the lifting of a huge burden off of parents’ minds and the simple joy of being back in health. So I would never pass up an opportunity to engage with the team that is doing such a wonderful, dedicated job day after day.
Perfect Day With Little Bravehearts
It was my birthday and it could not have been a more perfect morning to visit little Taksim, Shreya and Zaid who are under the care of Genesis Foundation. My husband, Vikas and I spoke to the parents. Their gush of gratitude was overwhelming. For them it was a miracle.
We spent some time talking to the doctors, experiencing their connect with their little patients and seeing the state-of-the-art facilities that are available at Jupiter Hospital, Thane, for kids like them.
Let’s Come Together and Act
Thanks to their tireless efforts, the Genesis Foundation has touched innumerable lives with their passion, commitment and creativity over the years.
This #TimeToGive experience is also a reaffirmation of all that we need to be grateful for – our limbs, our normal life and the gifts that we have. And a simple reminder to share our blessings.
