Dear India, Can We Please Plan Things Better From Now On

Everything works better if things are planned.

Dear India,
Without a doubt, every Indian citizen dreams of our nation to be the best in the world. Where everyone, regardless of race, colour, religion or income group, has equal rights. That is my dream as well.

In order to build our nation, we need good intentions, planning and action! Planning plays a big role in ensuring that we meet our goals.

Unfortunately, planning is what is missing in our nation, and this is the fundamental phase which we need to embrace. Plan, plan and recheck the plan is what I believe should be our SOP. I understand that nowadays we live in Generation “Just Do It” or “chalta hai”. However, the sheer size of our nation makes it impossible to work without adequate planning. So here’s what we should do:

• Let us listen and think before we talk.
• Before we jump into Smart Cities, let us develop Smart Villages. Majority of the Indian population lives in rural India.
• Before we spend billions on international standard airports, let us develop international standard roads.
• Let’s make lives better for the 90 percent of Indians, who live below the poverty line. We need to make our foundation strong, only then will India become the greatest nation in the world. We have it all – just need to plan it better.

Let us embrace academics, learn from developed nations, and start converting our great ambitions and intentions into realisation.
